Games HQ Update

There's been a lot going on at Games HQ and around the world and we are excited to get you up to speed with all things World Transplant Games related.  In this edition:

 

 

 

Discover the venues for the 2023 Games.

Perth, the capital city of Western Australia and host of the 2023 World Transplant Games is not just a beautiful city, famous for sunny days and golden beaches. It also has a long history of successfully hosting major sporting events, including the America’s Cup, the World Rally Championships, the FINA World Aquatic Championships, and the ITU Triathlon World Championships.  Athletes at the Games will enjoy some of these world-class venues with the majority of venues within an easy, 15-minute bus ride from the city, in the sporting hub of Mt Claremont, including:

  • HBF Stadium -  swimming and darts
  • WA State Athletics Stadium - track and field
  • Bendat Basketball Stadium - basketball, volleyball, and table tennis
  • Gold Netball Centre - badminton
  • UWA Sports Park - six-a-side football
  • Wembley Golf Course - golf.

Other exciting venues on offer include: 

  • Wanneroo Raceway, Western Australia's premier racetrack will be the location for cycling.
  • Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, a venue built specifically for water sports, and home to the Games sprint triathlon.
  • State Tennis Centre, located by the Swan River and just 5 minutes from the CBD.
